I wanted to post these pics for long time (from last year ;D) but somehow I keep forgetting, although I posted them in my photobucket. I think late is better then never. Little farm up in the mountains. Sveti Petar (St Peter) mountain top - once volcano. Do you see me in the pic ;D. At above mentioned mountain top we found a church. Check the tree and the roof. Little outcrop of obsidian Obsidian Animal life. Remaining of old romans excavations. They exploited amethyst and agate. This is evidence of above mentioned. Another mosaic Caricin grad or Ivstiniana Prima (history lovers check this out caricin-grad.tripod.com/index.html) I plan two or three trips to this area again this year, so more picture to come. Thanks for looking. Zoran P.S. These pics are taken by my professor since my old HP died there. Thanks, professor.

Zoran - Great pics! You're very fortunate to be able to visit places like that. What a great bonus to find the Roman mosaics. Neat!

i love the little church with the tree as now part of the main structural support....
beautiful scenery and the rocks are cool, too. not sure about the snake.
i'm surprised some of the Roman ruins aren't more protected/excavated and in a museum. it's impressive that they remain in situ without vandalism.
nice photos, Zoran, thanks for remembering to post them!

Great trip, Zoran. The rock in the 7-th picture seems to be pet wood, is it?

Zoran...I'm glad the mosaics are in your country. If they were here & unprotected...they'd have been destroyed. I really envy you!

Very nice trip!
To walk and touch things that others have done thousands of years ago is something that only a person who has experienced it can relate to. I visited Italy,Spain,France,Greece,Turkey and other interesting places in Europe and have walked among the many, many ruins, roads and paths that the ancients did. My imagination would always run away with me thinking of who might have walked here or touched that. Who built this. Was he having a good day? What did he eat today? Thoughts like this are still in my mind today even after some 45 years have passed!!
It was and still is a wonderful experience!
Thanks for taking us on you great trip!!
