Hello all. My name is Sherry. I am a 36 year old (be 37 in November) wife and mother of two beautiful daughters ages 6 and 8. I am also currently working on my BS in accounting. I live in NE Indiana in the country next to a river and on glacial morain. I have 11 rabbits, 3 sheep, a goat, 3 dogs, 2 rats and a 10 gallon aquariam full of fish. What can I say, we love animals.;D I actually started tumbling when I was a kid. Back then I mainly tumbled glass. Circumstances pulled me away from it and now I've come full circle and started tumbling again last November. A favorite stone, wow, that's a tough one. Can't really say that I have a favorite. When my husband and I started this last fall, it was begun as something we could do together. He thought it would be cool to fill a small treasure chest with tumbled gemstones (amethyst, citrine, peridot, sapphires, rubies, emeralds, etc.), so that is what we have been concentrating on. Since then, I have really become involved in the tumbling aspect and he has become interested in the shaping of the stones. However, recently (mainly because of everyone's pics) I have shown some interest in Mook and banded agate. It's a shame I can't just pick those up around here. I am looking forward to making some of my own jewelry creations. I just hope mine come out as well as some I have seen posted here.
Happy tumbling!! Otter

Yes please let me know how that goes. Last year one of our dog's ears were so chewed up by the flies that they were a mess of scabs and open sores. Our local vet recommended we try an insecticide gel that repels flies, mosquitoes and gnats. It's called Pet-Guard and its made by a company called virbac. The stuff worked like a charm. So if the fly parasites don't work you might try that. Unfortunately it is an apply everyday sort of thing, but it works great. It even worked on the goat and sheep. Animal nut....yeah...in fact we are in the process right now of purchasing another dog. We have a Chesapeake Bay Retriever female and are looking for a male so we can breed. Just what we need....another animal!!! Otter
