What are you guys using for accurate weight measurements on your rocks? I'd like something pretty accurate but also fairly inexpensive. Hmmm.. story of my life! lol Last

Yeah, those scales can be quite expensive. For anything more than ten or so pounds, I just use the regular bathroom scale. Heck, may as well, being that I'll never get on the dang thing. It doesn't like me. The big liar!

I have a kitchen scale for anything under 8 lbs that I got at WallyWorld for about $10. Works great.

One thing to know, if you plan to sell poundage, or "by the pound" at any gemshow. they can be pretty strick about making sure you use certified scales. If you just need one for your own reasons. Anything will do, i use a $10 food type scale i got at ACE years ago. Its not acturate, but does the job of general weight. I use a $80 digital scale for gram weight of my cabochons. Which is exact, and i could use it at shows, becasue its on weights and measures certififed list.

Yeah, I agree. I'd like to have a mechanical scale & also a digital smaller gram scale with a converter for different methods of measurements eg. carats. Thanks for the ideas & the links too! Last
