hey all, our house has been on the market for two weeks now and we are starting to get showings. even knowing we are going to the new house which has been all redone and better then this house. it is still sad. we have been here since our wedding in 1991. it is the only home two boys have known.
on a better note i started working for my brother this spring. "he builds homes". there is not much to tumble but boy there is rocks all over the place when we dig for a basement. the guys running the earth movers know me and the boys tumble, so they are always making piles for me to search through for rough. one of these days i will find something or my brothers partner will fire me for playing in the rocks all day

Hey Wiz, it will not be the same, but it will work out. The boys will adapt, make their own touch, and life moves forward. Great, makin houses, and getting stones. It sounds like a full home, and life. I guess, once you sell and move into the other, once you drive by people can say....... that is the one you Wizzed in. What kind of stones are you finding to tumble?

I think it's harder on the parents than the kids. Kids adapt to new stuff so easy, unlike older kids (adults) who tend to cling to the stuff they know. Good luck in your new home and with your job.

Good luck in your new home and job. Happy rock hounding in the piles of stuff that has been displaced by the earth movers. ;D

well we sold the house this week. the new owners know the people that bought my sister-in-laws house. and my sister-in-law bought her new house from a family that lives in the same city in maryland that we bought our new house from "about a half a mile away". what a small world it is

Congrates (I think) on selling- It is a hard thing but it happens. We moved when I was 15- my mother had grown up in the house- She cried for 2 days- I was so glad to move (it was exciting) plus we went from the burbs to a 40 acre country life!!!! Now all I have is a little 1 acre plot in the country
