Hoodlum Cat had a checkup today. The eardrum is still infected - but no longer bulged out. This suggests not a tumor.
Anyway, we are suspending antibiotics (after weeks) and will see how he does on just an anti-inflamatory. IF he takes a sudden decline it likely indicates we are just fighting a holding action.
He still purrs occasionally and shows some interest in things. SO, we will see.

Hope everything works out for you guys! At least he is showing interest and purring. That does indicate 'quality of life'. Hang in there!

Aww.. he looks a lot better in these pics... It's a little encouraging that the swelling has gone down.. are you taking him off the antihstimine too? Cats get such nasty infections...
Hoping for the best...

I sure hope Hoodlum gets better and wins the battle! I took a long look at him in the photos you posted, and he is a really neat looking cat. I'll bet he has a great personality. All good thoughts are heading your way.

Hoodlum Cat can't stand up. He is having some seizures or vertigo. I am taking him for euthanasia at 7:20, we will leave in about 5 minutes.
I'm glad he was able to hang around for his picture to be taken last week.
Hagatha Cat and I will mis him.

This is truly sad news....I had my hopes up that Hoodlum would make it. It is so difficult to lose a pet whose time has come so early. I am glad you have another cat to help make the loss a little bit easier to take. I hope you will bring home a perfect kitten to help fill the void when you feel the time is right.

Sorry about Hoodlum Daniel. I know very much how you feel. And don't read the Rainbow Bridge until you're ready! I know it takes me a few days before I can actually read it after I've lost one of my loved pets without losing it. Big hugs to you Daniel
