1) Don't let flowers or friendships die for lack of attention.
2) When apologizing, don't ruin it with an excuse.
3) Never feel guilty about getting out of a bad situation.
4) Children, marriages and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
5) Don't work just for the money; You'll always feel that you're underpaid.
6) Spoil your spouse, not your children.
7) Remember that the benefits of a life lived with enthusiasm and gratitude are always available to you.
I got a new calendar, oh joy! Now you'll all have to put up with all the little sayings I read each day!

Very good points. I'm a renter so I used to container garden but I had to quit because the neighbors kept taking the plants away thinking I didn't want them since they were still in pots. If my garden is a reflection of me does that mean I get carried away a lot? Don't get me started on spoiling my spouse. lol.
Maybe that explains why my calenders are George Carlin and The Far Side. My life never seems to work like the really nice calenders.

6) Spoil your spouse, not your children. Couldn't be more true. So many marriages just drift away after the children are grown & gone. Actually it's one of the things that my wife keeps reminding me of. She is always planning time for "just us". It is vital. Last

Everything you say is true.. I just happen to be married to my soul mate for 29 years... took a long time to find him. Sure made a couple of huge mistakes in the "searching process", but in that search, I just happened to get the most amazing kids. They are honest, kind, generous and I am so proud of the adults they have become. Thanks for being my daughter, Jamie. .I love you very much.. Mom

I like sayings like this. That's the reason I liked the late great Harry Chapin. His songs were full of stuff like that. Keep on posting them.

Still getting caught up on my calendars daily sayings so here are a few more,
1) In the end you will be judged not by what you believed, planned or dreamed.....But by what you did.
2) Reserve your best manners and most pleasant expressions for your family.
3) Remember that when you look back on your life, none of the things you treasure the most will have been purchased with Money. (Except earthdogs bike)
4) Remember, it's by your example that you most influence others.
5) When you meet people of rare intellect and integrity, ask them what books they're reading.
6) Accept any apology regardless of how late or subtle it might be.
Thats it for today.
