Okay, admit it. Don't be shy. Are you an American Idol fan? I enjoy watching this show. Right now I think Melinda Doolittle is the one to beat. That girl can sing. What I particularly like is her humbleness. Then you have Sanjaya, but he's another story altogether.

I might watch it if it were not for that Simon guy. I don't like people that intentionally hurt other people.

I've watched it almost every year except this year... I love to critique the vocalists because I used to sing. I say 'used to' because my voice isn't what it used to be. I don't think any of the previous winning idols have been as good as Kelly Clarkson who turned out to be an incredible lyricist as well as having a great voice. Her performance on the American Music awards last year blew me away. This year... not so much interest and I've been playin' with rocks during my free time... I keep hearing in the news that people are screwing up the voting.. Howard Stern asked all his listeners to vote for Sanjaya who has about as much talent as William hung...lol. I might watch the last few episodes after they weed out the posers...

I have never seen it. Probably because we don't get that channel. But my mom is hooked, Carrie Underwood is from Checotah, Oklahoma where my parents live. (one stoplight, everyone knows everyone) That little girl put that little town on the map. I'm not a big fan of new country but I'll have to admit the girl can sing and she's easy on the eyes too!
Yep Blarney, haven't listnened to Howard in a few days but he is trying to screw it up by getting everyone to vote for Sanjaya.

I personally don't watch it, but I know there are some die-hard fans at my work. We all have to hear about it every morning as they chat about it.

It was on once when I was in the room but that's the closest I've come to watching it. Since we have to watch the highlights on the TV news on every network the next day I just can't see the point. I like the Cliff Notes version better.

I personally don't watch it
I think its the same as lots of reality / talent shows they have been dragged out and re-hashed way to far, especially the celebrity versions.

I personally don't watch it. I get home, make dinner then out to the garage for cabbing n sawing or upstairs in the office wire wrapping. Not much time for TV these days, which is fine by me. The only American Idol I knew was when William Hung got booted and got famous around here as a result. I think he's from Berkeley. Steve

I don't really watch but catch it once in a while - I liked watching the beginning - good for a laugh.
On Canadian Idol last year they had 2 girls from the National Capital Region (Gatineau & Ottawa - near where I live)
Does this show play on the US stations?

Haven't heard anything about a Canadian version Tweet. I don't watch it, saw it a couple times last season and thought it was awful that Taylor Hicks won. That was enough for me.

if hubby has the remote, you get to watch about 2 minutes of everything on tv but as soon as you show any interest CLICK he's on to the next channel.
