Wow, Sands! Forget Obama , Clinton, or some irrelevant republican for President. I vote for Jason Whitlock. Pretty wise, and level-headed.

Wow John. A voice of reason in a world of chaos. Bill Cosby has been saying basically the same thing and obviously no one has been listening.

"Thanks for the updates. As for Liberal talking heads - the only one I can think of is Al Franken - unless you count the mainstream media..."
I just don't understand how you can call the Mainstream Media LIBERAL. It makes no sense. They are middle of the road, not skewed to one side or the other. The right wing media is very biased, unabashedly so (Even if they call themselves FAIR and BALANCED). ...and if you want to point to Hannity and Colmes as the prime example of it, please...it would only be fair if you put someone like Al Franken vs Hannity.
When I started this thread, I thought it was mighty ironic that Rev Al Sharpton and the right wing became strange bedfellows calling for the ouster of Imus. Imus attacked the right and the left. He was not always correct or intelligent, he just attacked everyone. he had a running mockery of Clinton and Jesse and TeddyK and Rev Al Sharpton. Plus Catholics(especially Irish Catholics, one of his most often criticized groups). He also went after Cheney and Rumsfeld over iraq. He attacked the administration for their shoddy treatment of veterens and even more widely for prevalent disregard for the well being of the troops in Iraq.
I dont consider Imus a saint; he was partisan, but not right or left , Liberal or Conservative, Rep or Dem. He was biased to the causes he championed. God forbid a politician talked with him and then didn't fully back one of his causes like Autism or the Children he helped through his ranch or the Veterens Hospitals or his wifes environmentally safe cleaning products. He was self serving, sophomoric, pompous, and a big bully. But he was tough on the Lefties and Liberals , much more so than he was against Righties. csroc

He may very well go after the left more. As for Hannity, he is very much right wing, but I don't consider him media anymore than I consider Limbaugh media. They are talking heads with an agenda. As for the mainstream media - ABC, CBS, NBC - I think they are very slanted to the left. They are supposed to be neutral, but I think they have liberal, left-wing leanings. Just my opinion. I consider FOX the neutral media because they attack both sides. Again, just opinion. I know many liberal-minded folks that think they are in Bush's pocket.
