Hi everybody, I've been too busy reading to post. This is a great board with so much information. I'm trying to read it all. I'm about two and a half weeks into tumbling with nothing yet to show. Of course, I got impatient and tried to rush everything. Now everything is sorted and back into stage one for the long haul. I don't expect much from the rocks that are rolling now, but I just got my first order from the Rock Shed and can't wait to free up a barrel for them. I also order 10 lbs or Ocean Jasper Rough. When these ordinary rocks come out, I will have something special to put in. I can't wait, but this time I will. Thanks for all the help and information. Trish

*smile* patience grasshoppa ;D ;D You know, if I had some extra I'd share but even after months of tumbling, I still get impatient. It is a good idea to leave the "ordinary" rocks in ... good practice before trying the expensive stuff. Hang in there, it will only be about a month.

I think patience is overrated! I mean I sit aound and wait and wait and wait- Then I start to want a grinder, and another tumbler, and a bigger saw- and more rock and and and - See what I mean-

I am thinking about getting a second tumbler, either a double barrel or another 3A, just so I can have a second batch going. I am not in a big rush to get one, because I have so many other arts and crafts going on the I sometimes literally forget how long my rocks have been in the stages. Dare I say you have been bitten by the rock bug.

I have finally been able to load up by second barrel yeah ;D, as I dumped the first batch into pre-polish 2 days short of my 7 days in 220. I'm REALLY gonna wait a week this time for the pre polish stage to go through completely (really I am ) , I figured they were pretty good to go into pre-polish and I REALLY wanted to get that second barrel going. (Just watching it turn with nothing in it was driving me nuts!) I now have a mix of those "unbreakable diamond rocks" (they're not diamond, but they were "H-E-double hockey sticks" to break up & split - I'm hoping there's some good stuff in there. I also put back some of my do-overs from the previous batch. I'm gonna let them do a full cycle or more this time - REALLY I WILL! - Really!
