TEXTDoes it matter on what BRAND of grit you purchase? I noticed that Lortone also sells their own grit products. Also, where is the cheapest place to purchase it? Thanks much!

I did some shopping, and got grit on sale from Kingsleynorth.com. I also got grit from Indian Jewelers but you need a liscence. corundum grit is corundum grit.

Hello Debs,
I generally get my tumbling grit from Kingsley North and I have always had excellent service with these folks.
When I buy the 60/90 or the 120/220 - I buy the ungraded grit.
When I buy the 400, 600 or 1000 grit ... I always buy the graded materials. There seems to be more uniformity of the sizes.
Welcome to the board ... it is good to see new members, and you can get just about any kind of help here at the board ... just ask and someone will always get back with you.

I usually go with KingsleyNorth, but lately the Rockshed has had better prices on coarse in bulk. Welcome! Glad to see you!

I get mine from the Rock Shed, just really like dealing with those folks. Check the prices at various places and see. I buy the ungraded grit too, 60/90 and 120/200 for the first two stages, 500 for the third, 1000 grit then polish. I do 5 steps but not everyone does the 1000 grit.

I bought mine from Jesco products out of Ok. They seem to have pretty good prices on some grit and high on others. Trish

Rockshed has been best for me, although I have never ordered from KingsleyNorth. Rockshed is just lightening fast and super customer service.
