Ok, it's that time of year that we all make those New Year's Resolutions that most of the time we don't stick to. What are your's for 2008? Mine are the usual boring ones: 1. Get using my exercise bike again. 2. Lose weight! 3. Eat healthier. 4. Get more organized. 5. Start reading books again. 6. Learn new crafts, take a class. And the hardest one of all........................to not be as grouchy as I was last year! (that might be kind of hard though because I think I'm perimenopausal .......so beware Earthdog!)

Not sure if this is a resolution or not, but I am starting it next week. It's to start running again and to hit the gym. The reason it's not a resolution to me is that it's more like wanting to look presentable (read that slim) for the classes that I will be instructing. During the summer, and on weekends, I will be teaching educators about techniques of reading and incorporating them to the sciences. I may go to various parts of Texas to do this too, and because of that I don't want to look porky.

I'm with you Condor, It seems resolutions are for breaking. I too want to get back to running and back in shape. Three years ago I ran 2 half marathons, then I found out I was going to be a dad at 45, well with sympathy pregnancy and then just no time with a new bouncing baby boy to run, I find myself 25 pounds up and huffing and puffing. I have decided to start walking 5 days a week and progress to adding a jog 3 days a week, ultimately I will be back to walking 12 to 15 miles a week and running the same with stretching exercises daily. Thanks for making me say this out loud or at least put it in print! LOL john

Mine is to lose weight (as I try this again this year!) I joined the gym at work - and have workmates who joined so we should keep it up! I'd also like to find more time for cabbing and to get some new belts for my machine (this one I can stick to!)
