Someone had mentioned that they had some pictures on their web site of rocks what they looked in their natural setting. I think it was Banjo or BearCreek but I'm not certain. I would be interested in seeing these sites as most of my rocks look brown or dark colored and pretty much alike until you crack them open. Now I'd like to see how and where they lived before they were seperated from their home to become tumbler food.
Thanks

I have to ask, after seeing your canes (they are very nice) how did you get a hold of Canadian money? That really surprised me!

I've lived here all my life, and I'm only 1 hour from Canada if I cross at Sarnia or 1 hour and 15 minutes if I cross at the tunnel in Windsor. So, I've spent a lot of time in Canada. Used to camp quite a bit in Arkona where they find all the Trilobite fossils. A couple of years ago I spent a month traveling across Canada out through New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia. I was too worn out to go up to New Foundland. Found out my French was a little rusty (actually it was completly rusted!). I like to use the "Toonie" coin because it is so unique.

Tweet us border people (near the Candian Border) get your money all the time! Heck in my metal detecting pursuits I have dug some old (1920's) canadian pennies- seems Candians are just as careless with there change as Americans ;D

I heard all these horror stories of Americans, being extremely insulted when someone passed them a canadian penny or ANY canadian change. Said they could feel the difference....
Personally I'm pooling all my american pennies to open a US bank account to put all my change for when we go do Disney in December - my daughter wanted to know if we could find rocks there - I don't think Mickey leaves any rocks lying around...

Oh MY God- I got handed a Candian Quarter this AM and handed it back saying- My bank won't take this! LMAO-- Yes that happens a lot- It is not that we dislike canadian money- it is just that our banks won't accecpt it! SO it just gets passed around. I actually look out for it because there is a lot of people who don't realize that some of the older (pre 1965) was SILVER! But this Quarter this AM came from a store that refused to take a Candian nickle from me last week!

I do the opposite, I collect US change, since it's worth a bit more than ours, we roll it separately from our own change to cash in. I even found a british coin not too long ago and even slot machine coins get passed around if you don,t look too closely & you get ripped off

Yeah...I don't think it's an insult for an American to be handed Canadian coins; there is a feeling of being ripped off if you get a quarter dollar that is only worth .20usd instead of .25; fear not and save those canadian coins, ;)by the time Bushes presidency is over the situation will be reversed and our friends from the North will feel the "insults" ;D ;D csroc
