Cookie, how do you make those things bounce? They look a little like the electricals early in the morning after they have tired out the Bengals. My logo just sits there with a frozen look of total competency.

I am so bad, I just remembered I promised and didn't deliver the update.
But first, I have to advise Doc that I intend to steal your material. Do I have to give credit when I use "a frozen look of total competency?" I am of course in awe.
Returning to tumblers, I decided to get a Lot-O-Tumbler from The Rock Shed, after trying to do a lot of comparison shopping and pretty much coming up dry on this board as far as reviews -- it just seems like most people with vibes are using TV-5's. After some back and forth with Shawn, 'cause originally I thought I wanted the Thumler's Ultravibe-10 (sorry, I hope I have the product names right), I decided on this one. This comes as a 4.5 lb. single barrel vibe unit for $135, I'm not sure what TV-5's are going for right now, I know the price has come down since I bought mine. You can get a 2 barrel unit with 2 4.5 lb. barrels for $199. This sounded like a pretty good thing. Some of the advantages: the barrels are heavy rubber, not plastic like the TV-5, so less noise and more durability; no nuts to take off, no twisting, no wrist strain; easy to check how it is doing; you can add more water if you need to just by lifting the top without even turning it off; again, sound, wow, I no longer hear tumbler all over the house, I can even hear the TV without the volume turned up all the way in the tumbler room. Face it guys, TV-5's make an obnoxious noise. I think TV-5's are a bit of a rip. Our experience seems to indicate that their lifespan is a year +/- 3 months, more or less. With continuous use, barrels seem to wear out in 2 months or even less, and any accident with water level will accelerate this; there are evidently no user serviceable parts if it breaks down. After 24 hours with this new unit, I've washed down the rocks twice; these were ones that were well along after time in barrels so were already well shaped, but like most Missouri rocks have a lot of holes and cracks I'd like to improve. I really like what this vibe is doing; it really seems to have a gentler motion compared with the TV-5, you don't get the impression that the rocks are beating up on one another, the surfaces are smoothing out really nicely.
So far, it seems super easy to use. Shawn has used these over the longer term and they really like them, hence his recommendation. I trust his opinions as well as his willingness to stand behind the products he sells, so I took the leap. Price wise, I think this is really good -- I've doubled the capacity of the TV-5 without doubling the cost, with a unit that clearly should have much less ongoing expense for replacement parts.
Gotta go, I need to lift that top now and peek!!!!!!!!!

There's a site called Best Smileys that has all kinds of smiley animations and a few others like the bouncing dragon. On the other forum I have, I've used this little guy as my siggy for about 4 years now .. I think he's just the cutest little guy and a very well done animation. Cher

Hey Puppie, I replied to your question about the vibes ... didn't you get it? I was trying ... John John, Must have missed it. Can you direct me to the post? Using the search feature is difficult since you have a bunch of posts and I don't know how far back to go! Thanks!
