Well, we went to the Deming Show and as always, it was excellent. Bought about four pounds of Queensland agate. Almost looks like carnelian. Also, bought several pounds of petrified wood. Some of it is opalized. There was this other rock from somewhere in Mexico that fluoresces a dark red color. Don't know the name, but it is hard and I was told it will take an excellent polish. I'll break and tumble one, and leave the other as is. Got about eight pounds of it. Also bought a large fourteen inch by five inch by two inch fluorescent rock that comes from Nebraska. The guy couldn't tell me what it was because he had recently made the find. It fluoresces the usual bright green and also redish orange. Very nice mineral. Got my DW a beautiful Goldstone necklace. She loved it. All in all, it was great fun.

I can't wait to attend my first show. Will have to leave the checkbook at home though.

Sounds like fun, I have a couple of shows on my calendar that are within 225 miles so am hoping to be able to get to one of them this year.

I just love rock shows! Never enough $$ to get everything I want though.
The San Antonio show is the first weekend in April. Even though I was already pretty much addicted before the SA show last year, the show really sealed my fate when it comes to rocks! and I can't believe I have only been tumbling for a year - seems like I have been doing it for ages!
