Hi, I need help. I have some native Arkansas Turquoise in matrix that I have had laying around for a few years. I decided to break it up and throw it in the tumbler. I figured it was softer the the rest of the rock I was tumbling and it definitely is! i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/triben/turq.jpgI don't know if the picture will show up here, so I will post it under pictures. The two rocks at the top are unbroken, the ones in the middle have been tumbled overnight and the small one at the bottom, I left in about three days. It's really pretty but is only about 1/4 as large as when I put it in. I didn't want it all to dissappear, so I took it all out til I can find out how to work with it. Any ideas? Looks like there is a lot more Turquoise in the rock than I thought there was. Trish

If they're that soft, I would probably treat them the same as opals. With lots of cushioning.

WOW that is some awesome looking rock- Turk is soft so treat it as such- Probably start it in 120/200 and check it everyday- I don't think anyone has work with it cause it is too expensive to tumble (I saw some that was going for $99 a GRAM!!!!) Hey how much of it do you have- and are you collecting it or purchasing it-
