Thanks Nancy ;D ;D
It sounds like you just have to pick up the basics first then go from there and just use your intuition according to each stone. Really hope I can be as good as you are but it's going to take lots of time and practice.

I'm afraid so Steve...you hit the nail on the head. Some pick it up quicker than others...just go slow and easy...light on the grip too. Take a look at the "firsties" post. ;D Thanks Tami! Now that I made earrings to match the second one...I REALLY like it better. lol...

Nancy- is there a minimum cabochon size limit when it comes to wire wrapping? It would seem there has to be some minimum requirements on the size of the cabochon- no matter which technique is used. I don't see any problems with the bigger cabs- just with smaller ones.

I think the smallest I've done is an 8mm round prong set, but would do a 6mm. I don't go smaller than that...I use snap sets that I get from Brandywine.

I have to make a quick correction, Stoner cut the second cab, I hated to give it up but the two pieces you made for me were worth letting go of one of his cabs. What am I saying, I loved that cab,. JK! I really did love the cab but you made it look wonderful. I'm sure when Ed sees it, he will love it too. They both look great, as usual.

I didn't know that! Great stone Ed...yours too Jaime. Also, you were very generous in the cab dept. gal...I wrapped one of the boulder opals...I'm just waiting for a decent day, so I can take pics of it. I hate cloudy days. ACK!
