Wrapped this one in square copper, I don't think that not using silver or gold wire detracts from the aesthetic quality of the wrap. This one is actually transparent around the edges but can't be seen in these pics. and the backside (a jumbled mess). I suppose it would have been better to loop the top support wires around the twisted ones at the bail, but hindsight is 20-20 and to try and change it now, the way things usually go for me could be disastrous. Hey granpaw,
I personally love base metals. I think that a lot of customers that buy jewelry think that it HAS to be gold or silver to be high quality. Often its because they just havent seen a really nice piece made of copper, brass, bronze etc. Base metals give a sense of "warmth" in my opinion.
Nice job with the copper.

I really, realy like the front. I think your ideas on how to improve the back would be nice...like you said hindsight and all of that. I think the copper works very well with the stone colour.
