Hi all, I am interested in Rocks of course as well as Jewelry making. My biggest problem is getting started. Anyway, I need some advice/ instructions on how to use some Lovely opal doublet I got into jewelry. I think Doublets are usually SET as opposed to wrapped But they are sort of odd shaped. So any advice? I haven't much experience doing either technique (wrapping or setting), so I need to find a starting point and some good instructions or tutorials. Thanks a bunch! Rhonda S.

I'm with Jeremy...I think most stones if not all can be wrapped. Doublets are easier, as they are stronger. Weird shapes are no problem with wire wrapping. Post a pic and lets see what we all can come up with.
