Anyone got a good tutorial for wire wrapping a ring? I've been searching for one to wrap cabs and they are all pretty rudimentary dealing with beads and drilling holes, etc. I've been designing in my head, but always lose confidence in my approach when it comes to hiding the ends. I am now thinking about using solder or glue. I am fine with wrapping 4 or 5 wires for the band... and I can design several ways to bezel or overlap the stone to hold it, but it is hiding the ends under the stone securely that is holding me back. I don't want to lose a stone experimenting and trying it out. It seems to me I saw a post last year where someone said they had instructions for a 5 strand ring. Thanks! Tony

Kim had sent me some information on how to do wrap a ring. I'll look for it, hopefully I didn't lose it when my computer crashed last spring. I found this out "Wire Artist still sells back issues, and the major projects if the whole issue is not avail.....check them out online." www.wag.on.ca/www.wirejeweler.com/

Very neat video! I have made this ring a couple times using a book step by step. I must say, this video is much easier to understand. Thanks for the link.

Thanks, Ya'll! I guess I'll have to order some mags, Cher... those all look very interesting! If you find your instructions I'd sure like to see them! Pretty please The vid looks like what I want, Fishenman, but it took 6 hours to download the first half and then it just stopped Well, the last half is the one I want... so I've started to download it again and I hope by morning I'll get the back half Ahhhh... the only thing worse than dial-up is no connection at all!! Tonja... maybe I need to get a book for that ring... where did you find it? Thanks, Tony

Tony, it's also in the Moods in Wire book. I picked mine up at Barnes & Noble. They will probably have to order it for you, but it's a really cool book.

Well, I got the movie downloaded finally and I made the ring yesterday. It wasn't half bad for a first effort... ha, well at least one or two parts weren't half bad. I was surprised at how tightly it held the stone. I'll wear it for a while to test it, but I feel pretty good about knocking it and banging it and not loosing the rock... I like to wear rings but give them an awful beating. Thanks for the link, Fishenman
