I used a Pixie and it seemed to be fine. Is the Genie worth $600 more and why. A person can buy a lot of rock for $600......MrP

The difference between the two is how big of a cab do you ultimately want to do? Bigger machines generally translate into the ability to do bigger cabs. Bob

The Pixie may well be the best built machine Diamond Pacific makes. It is limited to cab size by the closeness of the wheels. It is popular with opal cutters and people cutting smaller sized cabs. The Genie is more versatile with the right side wheels spinning off in an assy. I set mine up with 4 wheels on at time and the last two on a separate easily installed axle so I can sand/polish large fossil specimens. The wheels cost almost double what Pixie wheels cost also. The Pixie is compact and about 30 lbs. compared to 59 lbs. for the Genie. Both mchines increase in price about 5% each year.
