So I mentioned earlier (okay, a couple months ago) about attempting a pin. This was provoked by a co-worker who told me while she loves the pendants that she never wears necklaces. (22g DS square S/S) So, I thought and tried and rewrapped and came up with this: It's been edited slightly since then - the pin back was attached, tumbling tightened the curves surrounding the piece, and I moved a wire to cover one of the corners that wasn't supported. Additionally, I finally wrapped one of my RSJ cabs I created months ago. I kept looking at it and couldn't figure out which way I wanted it to hang, so I tried an offset bail. (22g DS square S/S)

Beautiful work! That red stone is gorgeous! is it pet wood? The RSJ is also a splendour, with that landscape inside.

That RSJ wrap is really stunning. I like the offset presentation of it.

Those are seriously beautiful wraps. The pin is very cool and has a nice symetry to it. I love the stone too. The orientation of the RJS is a great one. Man, I never would have thought, but wow. It's like that how it belonged. Both are amazing wraps. Steve

Nice! I like them both, but that RSJ is really something special. I LOVE the way you wrapped that one...how does it look hanging on a chain? Did the bail turn out to be where you wanted it?

Thanks guys!
Adrian, the first stone is Colorado Pet Wood - I got it from Sands about two years ago, I think. I kept looking at it, but I couldn't figure out how to best display it - too long for a pendant, too wide for a bracelet. It leant itself to the project quite nicely!
Steve, when I was cutting the stone, I wasn't thinking about how to wrap the thing after. Everytime I looked at it, that's the orientation that I liked the best, but couldn't exactly figure out how to wrap for it. These two pieces are my first "planned" wraps, fully drawn out, including most of the embellishments. Normally I'm more of a "just wing it" kind of gal.
Titania, I'll have to get a picture for you of it hanging. I had to redo the bail bends a couple times to get it where I wanted it, but it did finally end there.

I adore pins! and both the pin and pendant are beautiful! Ever thought of doing a pin/pendant? I have a southwestern combo that I was given as a present. It can be a pin or a pendant. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing <grins> AgateHeaven
