Hi, everybody! I cabbed pretty recently this pink Lesbos pet wood cab. The groove came out pretty large and I had to twist two wires to fill it properly. In the beginning, I made the whole wrap using the twisted wire, but the bail came out really ugly: Then I cut one of the wires in each "branch" of the bail and I remade it: Front view (above) and side view (below) of the remake. Thanks for looking, Adrian

Very pleasing wrap! I really like the groove to recess the wire. Perhaps I will try my hand at wrapping after I get a few shaped stones finished, though I am sure it takes a lot of learning... I sure enjoy looking at everyone's wraps/cabs Bill

Nice wood. The new bail is a definite improvement. I like the twisted wire in the grove too. Very cool!

Nice call, Adrian. That new bail did the trick...looks great now. I really like how the twisted wire shows from the front, providing a little frame for the cab. Great job!

Hi All I'm new to lapidary arts and would like to know how the grove is made around the edge of the cab. I guess it could be made with the blade edge of a trim saw but it looks to neat for that. Thanks for your help knapper

I sure like how you do those, and the bail fix worked out great. And that is a great lookin cab, too. Nice job Adrian.

The new bail looks great. Great looking wrap. That groove technique is really creative. It looks really good with the twisted wire. Steve

That is a great look Adrian! I bet it'd look good two color too! I love the way you see the ripples from head on... if every other one was gold it might look cool. T
