As Randy wants pictures, I dug through my stash looking for something I hadn't posted yet. Some of you may remember this rock from my purchase of "sodalite" about a year or so ago that wasn't so sodalite-ish. The concensus at the time, and which I totally agree with now that I'm a year or so wiser in rocks, was blue aventurine. I'd link you to the original thread, but my search skills are lacking...or the search is still broken. So, here's a reprisal of the pics: I've tumbled a bit of it, but then decided I'd really like to cab some of it was well. And with me, cabbing leads to wrapping.

Ooohhhhh...LOVE that! I love the dark saturated blue colour of the aventurine. And that wrap really compliments the stone shape! Awesome job!

Tweety - Aventurine comes in many colors...just about as many colors as regular quartz. I've seen more green than any other color, but I've also seen peach, yellow, orange, "raspberry", and this blue.

Great looking wrap! I have some of the blue and wondered how it would cab. Keith

Very beautiful wrap. I love blue stones of all colors.
Aventurine is another form of quartz, with some mica mixed in. So it can come in as many colors as quartz comes in.
