Hi everybody. I want to lean to wire wrap so I can sell my own jewelry using my cabs. What do any of you think of this package? wire-sculpture.com/?gclid=CPOiybyB75ICFRpOagodKDXD3QThe marketing sounds good, the $$ back guarantee sounds good but, is it what I really want? Should I wait and take some classes and practice? This just sounds too good to be true. For almost $200.00 is it worth the money? Thanks, Geoff

That package is great - if you want your jewelry to look like his. You can always tell the people that have learned from his DVDs as the results are all very similar. It's not a border-wrapping package, like most of what you see on here.
If you're truly interested, I would purchase an inexpensive set of pliers, some inexpensive wire, and try the online tutorials that are out there for free. Going that route, you're looking at a $50 investment (or less).

His style has been reproduced so many times its insane. There are several websites that have free tutorials if you need a list pm me. The biggest thing I can suggest is buy some craft wire and play!!

I agree with the others. There is plenty of free instructions out there. I swiped some cheap wire from hubby to practice on before spending the dollars on expensive wire.

And copper is a truly inexpensive wire to play with. Brandywine Supply sells square and half round copper.

You can buy even cheaper copper wire from the hardware store....
I agree with the rest of the posts....he's good... the tutorials are good... but IMO its over done, and over priced. Plenty of free tutorials out there.

Thanks so much everyone. I don't want my stuff to look like his. I didn't even think about that. My wife has all the tools as she does beading wire work. I will get some wire for practice and look up some tutorials.
I knew you guys would steer me in the right direction and save me some money. Thanks again, Geoff

I read a lot on this board about wrapping and lots of first timers were saying they were timid to change over to the silver from their practice wire...so I figured it would be best for me to just jump right into silver and learn with the good stuff, after I'd done a few with telephone wire. I'm glad I did! I have lots of badly twisted and mangled silver wire.... but the good news is my botched jobs look better in silver, and I'm learning to melt and cast silver so I can use my scrap somehow Tony

I got that package and the videos are okay, and as the other mention the style is really only one style. I got more information off of their free videos on the webpage. You do get a nice set of tools and wire. The only thing I ran into with the wire is the practice brass wire temper is a little more difficult to work with than they show. Tami
