Actually, the stripes are from a piece of Owyhee picture jasper.

neat that 1st one looks like a closeup painting of a partially covered face with one eye covered . that could be a '' name the wrap '' thread .nice work !!! paul

THose are neat stripes. The RSJ is well composed. I think it would pop more if the rock underneath was a different color. SO, did you have a whole nodule or just the slice?

The RSJ pictures were particularly bad - I didn't take the time to set up my lights, just snapped the photo and kinda color corrected in photoshop. I've decided to not clip it afterall (which was the direction I was leaning) and just leave it, so I'll have to snap better photos of it.
I purchased a couple nodules a while back, but my move threw any organization out the window. I'm slowly finding the pieces I had shortlisted, but I've also accumlated more rock since then...and another shortlist of pieces!
