I went to Woodward Ranch for a day. It's always good to see good friends such as Trey and Jan. Being the excellent people that they are, they made sure I had a fun time out there. Here are some pics of how it went. Knowing how much I love rain, Trey made a few phone calls upstairs and got me this. With his connections he was even able to bring down the temperature down to a suitable rock hounding like of level. Continuing on with the phone calls to the one upstairs, he had all the snakes put away so that I would not run into any and I didn't. Photo from inside my car. It stormed extremely hard for three straight hours then rained throughout most of the night. I loved it. img.photobucket.com/albums/v730/OneBuck/070730085144.jpg[/IMG]For good measure and to make sure I was having maximum fun, Trey made an extra special call to get this guy to run around out there. Maybe Trey tried to scare me. I thought it was a mountain lion at first. I stopped hunting real quick in that area. I wasn't until after I got home and zoomed in on it that I realized what it was. In case you can't tell what the above is, it is a big fox and not a coyote. And now for the prized possesions: Hope you enjoyed this pictorial trip. Condor

SWEET!
I'm so jealous I can't speak. I wondered how green it would be in Summer...
Apparently WWR will be featured on Cash and Treasures this December. I believe this will be the ruin of WWR as we know it.
Bummed. :'(S

Great trip report! Hope the Cash and Treasures show doesn't spoil Woodward too much. My buddy went to the Nevada opal mines again and said it was much changed including some high grading going on in the supposedly untouched expensive scoops which in my book is a No No! I love those tube shaped nodules you found. I've gotten some of my best Woodward peanut agate and plume from some of those. great looking biscuits too. Make sure and post lots of pics when you cut them.....Mel
