Found this thunderegg/geode? on ebay. The fish shape caught my eye. I decided to tumble it and this is how it turned out. It looks better than the pics show. First time at posting pics. Hope this worked. Thanks for looking.

Nice! Whenever I see split thunder eggs on sale I always have to pick through them to look for cool patterns like that.

Cool fish. Nice find! That is why I like cutting Thunder Eggs. You never know and the anticipation is most of the fun.

That is so cool. Looks like a Lyre Tailed Molly to me. I love those fish (use to breed them as an amature hobbyist way way way back when).

Hey did you tumble with other agates in the batch?
I'm curious cause I have a few thundereggs that I would like to tumble, but I'm actually waiting to buy a vibrating tumbler before I decide do this.
Thanks for sharing.

This is really cool! Has Steve H seen this? He is always cutting some nice fish. This is right up his alley. I have never cut thunder eggs. Seems like there is always a neat "prize" in everyone! Fran

Rockwiz, This was tumbled with bubblegum agate, some white quartz and various pieces of jasper and agate small slab pieces. The quartz didnt polish well but the everything else looked pretty good.
