I think I'm finally kind of/sort of getting the hang of these beautiful rocks. When you can ...cut out the cracks and pits.. when you can't and they are big... fill 'em. When they are small and off to the side ... leave 'em! My fingers got numb grinding this evening... winter is my favorite time of year... and one that tests my dedication. Guess I'll have to start heating the water again now, or figure out a way to heat an open shed. I still haven't found a more magical, wonder filled rock than Koroit opal... but I'll enjoy looking Hope ya'll enjoy looking!! Tony Koroit Koroit and with different light.... Koroit... not so much flash, but interesting. Koroit... this one's got flash and rotated Koroit Koroit This one has a cool opal filled crack across the center... cool because it didn't break when I bore down on the leather. I'll show you a sad story in the next batch.... And, oh yeah, a Koroit another view...

Beautiful cabs, my favorite is the one in the 2nd and 3rd pics too. I also like very much the square blue one (3rd pic from the end).

OH NO! I guess you didn't hear ... Koroit Opals have been found to be an extreme biohazard! Luckily for you, I've been professionally trained in their handling and proper disposal. Send me a PM and I'll instruct you on the proper packing method and furnish you with my address. It's a darn good thing that I caught this on time, before terrible things happened!

Thanks, ya'll! Glad you like opals too. I see the faces now you mention them... didn't see 'em before. I am afraid I cheated you folks with the low res. pics. I'll try to do better next time with a higher resolution. Tony

I love opal, I have a beautiful piece that stoner gave me when I met him, tony put a bale on it so I can wear it. 2,3, and 5 are my favs, although how can you pick, they are so beautiful. I love flash and bling, and you do beautiful work with them. If you don't want them to clutter your home, I have a home for them

The pics show why you call these stones magical wonder filled. I bet even the plain brownish one has pin fire if viewed under a loop.

Tony, sorry to see you couldn't post and koriot. lol Beautiful stuff, so beautiful in fact that after looking at all of your opal posts I had to go out and buy some of my own. Cost me a bundle so I'm hoping they are nice like yours. One thing about the koriots that make them so special is the color and pattern in the base rock. Quite a unique combination between that and the flash of the opal.

Careful, Tony! YOu can go broke quicker than wall st. buying opal I have a small parcel of Yowah coming, soon, I hope... and I fear what may happen if I like it as much as Koroit. I just don't know how much more blood I can sell, before I get too weak to grind, lol. Just remember it was Jade Tony and Ed. what got me hooked, so any problems that arise need to be laid in their laps, and not mine Ed... glad you got to see colors
