Well I nearly forgot how to shape and polish a cab! I most certainly forgot how to take a descent picture of one. I tried three times and finally went outside and put them on cinder block. So, sorry for the background ;D Thanks for looking. Brazilian Some kind of Lace More Lace, might be local. Picasso Mook Forgotite OJ?

Nice cabs John. Doesn't look like you forgot a thing! I really like the 1st two. I think the forgotite is Llanalite or something like that. I'm too lazy to search for the name...but it's sort of close to that. What are you using as your cab stand?? Steve

Glad you finally go tot do some cabbing John. Great work on all. The next to the last is llanite from Texas. ( Did I send that to you?) The last one has a poodle trapped inside.

Nice job on all of those! I wouldn't say you've lost your touch at all. That purplish lace is Sowbelly amethystine agate out of the area around Creede, Colorado and that one with the blue spots is definitely llanoite from Llano, TX. That is a cool pic in the OJ!.....Mel

Glad to see your cabs again! Maybe you forgot, but then you remembered in a blink of an eye! They're all beautiful. My favorites are the first one and the Picasso, but the Mook and the Forgotite come really close to them.

Thank you all for the nice words of encouragement and the identifications! Steve, The stand is just a paperclip. I used the larger loop to set on the ground and the smaller loop I bent to hold the cab. Curt, I believe you did give me the Llanite. Thanks! That piece acted like it was not going to shine, but in the end it gave in to my fumblings. Mel, Sowbelly. Hmmm now I cannot remember who gave me that Maybe Wheeshan? When I moved things were mixed up a little and no gorgeous rocks in the new yard either. Tweet, I am pretty sure that is Picasso. Could be wrong! Thanks Dennis, Tony, Randy and to you too Mr Adrian!! I can always count on you guys for a smile ;D john

John: They are all beautiful, I love the first one and the green forgotite. You got a real nice shine on all of them, and I like the shapes, nice work, you didn't forget a thing.

What a fabulous bunch! I was reading the names wrong, and I saw the one I thought you said was Mook and I thought, "No way, that's Llanite! " After reading everyone else's comments, I went back and looked at them with the right names (underneath!) again. Llanite can be hard to work with. I remember someone saying the good stuff was tough as nails. On the other hand, I picked up some sub-standard pieces by the side of the road, and most of what I ended up with just crumbles.
Love the llanite, the some-kind-of-lace, and the Mook! Good to see your work again.

Killer shine there dude. Your skills didn't decline over those 6 months, you still get a better shine than me and your shapes are great. I've never seen picasso with those colors and haven't tried llanite yet.
