In case you are tiring of opal I threw in some unknowns Koroit... half dollar size And the other view... Koroit... a bit bigger than silver dollar size And the light show... Koroit... nickle size An unknown I got in a box of picture jasper from SnowDog last year so I think it must be a type of picture jasper. I love the patterns in this stuff and would like to know what it is, if any know! I should know what this is but I can't remember what box it came out of... been sitting in a yogurt cup for months and months Thanks, Tony

Celebrating 4th of july in November....that a 1st for me! Those are some killer Koroits...seriously! I cannot believe the light show in the silver dollar one. That probably feels really good in the palm of your hand huh?!?! I think the 1st unknown is Crazy Lace. At least it sure looks like it to me. Don't have a clue on the 2nd one though. Great cabs tony. Tired of opal??? Ha! You don't have enough Koroits in your yoghurt cans to get us tired of it! ;D
My favorites are the first Koroit and the first unknown. The patterns in that one remind me of crazy lace. The lightshow is also amazing.

Those unknowns are sweet and I never, never, never tire of the opal. Thanks for posting the close ups. Did you use a jewelers loop?

Thanks, ya'll! Ain't opals grand I hadn't thought about it being crazy lace, guys, as the colors are so different from what I'm used to. And it wasn't really agate hard like my rock shed crazy lace. Curt... I don't worry about you Heck, you can just walk around and find your obsessive stuff right on the ground! I should be so lucky! Bejewelme... you haven't had a chance to see Nephrite's opals yet. He and Ed are the masters... me... I'm just the lowly apprentice Lori... no loop... I just have a Fugi camera with great closeup ability. Some day I hope to catch up to my photo hero, Beef! Tony

Ooooohhh...that silver dollar opal is incredible. I could spend hours looking at all that's going on in that stone. Great job cabbing it, too!

The pattern in the first Koroit is crazy and the flash in the second is beautiful. Nice work on them. The second unknown reminds me a bit of some of the mozarkite I've done only its not pink enough.
