"3 tonight - 3 beauties" would be a better title for those cabs I like the most the first unknown. Adrian

That slab is unbelievable! You sure have talent with the cabs and photographing them.
Does everything you photograph come out that clear and sharp?

I could be wrong but the top may be some kind of graveyard plume? The bottom looks so mossy for a thunder egg. I have no idea about it, only that they are all beautiful! Fran

sitnwrap, Here is my photo setup. I have a 250 watt photoflood light on the right and a flourescent 26 watt 5000k bulb on the left. I use a plastic gizmo that I made to hold the cabs. It has clear double-stick tape on the end to hold the cab up from the background and to tilt it slightly forward. The camera is a Cannon EOS Rebel XT with an 18-55mm lens. I hand hold the camera about 6" to 8" away from the cab and let the camera do the focusing. It rarely is out of focus. I download the pictures to the computer into the Windows Photo Gallery where I do a white balance correction, adjust the exposure, do color correction (it has trouble getting the browns right, it wants to make them too red) and crop the picture. From there I download the photo to Photobucket for posting. I use white paper for the background to help get the color right and to brighten everything up. Does this answer your question abour focus? (And then some). The setup. The plastic cab holder gizmo. Bob

Bob, It's funny how the RTH has it's Master Cabbers...as you are one of them. We have Opal Kings, Jade Kings and now you should be the new Montana King! Steve
