I got some time to cab last week and managed to get nine cabs done. Red and gold jasper from Jamie. Purple agate. I got this from stoner so I don't know exactly what it is but I would sure like to find out. I've never cabbed a rock this color before. It was a pretty small nub and by the time I ground away the crust this is pretty much what was left. I like the shape but don't think its very practical, unless you like spontaneous body piercing. Moss agate thunderegg. I cut a thunderegg from Weeshan the other week and found this. I'd heard of moss in thundereggs but had never seen it first hand before. This one is big, about 2 1/2" tall. Amethyst (lace?). It has pretty iridescent flashes. Carnelian. Fire agate. No fire in this one, or I ground through it. lol This stuff was really really hard. Took a fantastic shine though. Green kyanite. This little piece cost me $4 at a recent show. It was green so I had to buy it. ;D Its pretty translucent and gemmy. Kambaba jasper. This is my new favorite rock. 'nough said. Thanks for looking.

Your wheels kept turning this week, Tony! My favorites are the red&gold jasper, the purple agate, the carnelian and the Kamamba. Beautiful shapes and shine on them, great materials.

Great cabs Tony! Love the shape on that purple agate... it's cool to see folks trying different shapes. And I can see why the Kambaba is your new favorite... that's some fanatastic material.

I can see what you love about the Kambaba. it is beautiful! I think they are all very eye catching but the purple agate could look beautiful with a suspended wrap and it wouldn't be a hazard from the sharp points, it would just show the stone off within the outer frame. Fran

Those are superb Tony! WTG!
I particularly enjoyed the Carnelian, that's a beautiful stone, I bet it shines like the sun up close. The Kambaba is lovely too, I must lay my hands on some soon, it looks too good to miss, and I'm in-to my fossils too! ;D Lovely cabbing Sir!
As a confirmed Agatized Junkie, I have to say that your Mossy Thunder-egg is truly "the-buisness", I love all the forms we see, and that's a total corker, thanks for sharing such a beautiful and fascinating stone, made my day! ;D
Cheers,
Sparkles.
