Here are the fruits of my labor..... We have Black agate, Sodalite, and Tigereye...... I wish that the sun was out today so I could have gotten better pics!! Here are two freeforms that I did for my mother-in-law. She loves rocks and has her own collection. She also has the largest collection of my tumble-pendants that I know of. ;D Anyhow, You may recognize the one on the right, it's my very first freeform. It had a rounded bottom, but I didn't like it so I reground it. lol.... The one on the left is Cobra-Tiger jasper from ebay seller "roughsale". I purchased a 12lb chunk from him, most of it was cut into pendants, they're in the tumbler now....

Wowser! First off, great polish on the Sodalite and that isn't always easy to do. Really think those freeforms came out great too. You've really got some skills and your work is eye popping good.....Mel

Thanks Mel! The sodalite seemed alot harder than the stuff that I normally get. Sodalite is one of my favorite stones, I have a 10 pound chunk that I'm cutting up soon.

Stunnin polish, that cobra jasper is cool.
The simple mounts work well.

Are you sure you didn't coat that sodalite with clear nailpolish? the shine is outstanding!
I know you probably bought the last of them, but where did you get your bails for those second pendants?

Nailpolish? I'll have to try that one on some Picasso Jasper. ;D The cinch mounts came from Exolite, the 4-prong mounts came from "Floydrocks", and the bails on the freeforms I made from square sterling silver wire, about 18 guage works the best. If you use gold filled, use the hard stuff.

Wow Randy, all are nice, the cobra jasper is really cool, how do you finish the cabs? Paste, diamond belts? Me and Tony are frustrated with the low shine we are getting, man if nailpolish works, I could have saved a bunch of time Amber

I'm using a Genie, the final polish I get from the buffing pad mounted on the end, charged with 14,000 diamond paste. The guys in the Gem and Mineral society were saying that they use like 100,000 grit diamond paste (or something crazy like that) lol ....the stuff that they do is unreal!!

I think Sodalite is my new favorite color of blue and I never hear of Cobra Jasper. What a wild pattern. You sure are producing gorgeous stones.
