My wife had her second knee replacement on October 3. Two months later and the cabbing machines are calling to me. I hope to start up before the end of the year unless it is too cold.

It's been even longer than that for me, I don't think I've put out much in the way of rocks since July when I went to Europe, but I should be cranking a few out in the next week or two.

Wowsers that donut cab is amazing. It looks just like a real donut. Is it agate or jasper?

Hey I had knee arthoscopy on 10/3, my knee is much better, replacement surgery is tough , so I hope your wife is getting around ok. Hopefully she is following Dr. orders and doing therapy. What a relief to not have constant pain. DONUTS= YUM. Amber

That looks like a dunkindonutite to me. Hope your wife is doing well. I know a person who had his knee replaced. Best thing he ever did. It did wonders for him.

I am about in the same boat. I finally have a weekend and I spend it in bed being sick. YUK! We both need to get back to it or it is going to be a very long winter. I sure hope that knee surgery is working. Most people have some good results. Take care and I really hope you have some good cabbing weather soon! Fran

This was her second knee to be replaced. The first one was in the spring. She was able to rehab that one fine. This time she has had a bunch of problems not related to the knee; foot ankle, calf, backare impacted her ability to rehab. Right now she is on crutches for a sprained ankle. I've been taking her to physical therapy and acupuncture appointments. Getting one knee replaced still leaves you with a bad knee and after she gets through this she will be able to get around fine. Hoping to be on Mt. Diablo taking photographs this spring.
The weather is cold and froggy (yes, froggy like a cold swamp). My cutting skills were never that great and it will take a month or so to get back to my previous skill level.

six weeks later and the count is the same. Last weekend I had to recaulk the bathtub. I really hope to start again this weekend, if I can find my box of preforms, it doesn't rain and I can remember how to use my equipment.

I think the first one you do should be donut shaped and posted in the thread. ;D
I hope your wife did well with the recovery of the knee replacement.
