It is a jasper...but I don't know what kind. Some rose quartz I got from the Hogg mine that day when C&S was filming. Kind of cloudy but some are from the sky Turritulla Picasso Wonderstone ryolite.... I love the patterns in this stuff I got from Rockyone Some of the quartzy stuff I find in the next county. And a Koroit. The camera sees this nice pattern better than the eye. In normal light the eye just mostly sees shiny. Now, all of these were in the melted plastic pile. And all but the opal seem to take on a kind of floor polish look when I got to the 50 thou belt. Got kind of a rich wax shine. Maybe a heat treatment :_) The opal has a bit of a haze on part of it but otherwise took a normal shine. I may have to regrind it completely and see if I can get the color brighter. I pretty much don't think putting your cabs in a pile of melting, burning plastic is a great idea Thanks, Tony

Kind of like a pre buff shine before the shine. They are awesome. I love that picasso. Hey, maybe that melted wax treatment might prove to come to something and you just haven't seen it or figured it out yet. Lots of stuff are invented by accident and yours was a duzy of an accident. I hope that happens and it makes you rich

WOW even your ryolite looks shinny! They are all really nice but I kind of like that quartzy one with the banding in it. Looks a little different. Fran

Well I think the opal looks pretty good, and the Turritulla, that is always a favorite of mine. They are all looking great, you got a big job on your hands, cleaning up all that mess. So far so good. Amber

Great cabs Tony! I've been working some of that opal you sent. Do not be afraid. They are our friends. They will not harm us. We are one. Curt

I love that Turitella. The wonderstone and the Koroit are also beautiful.

Thanks, all! And I got a much better shine on the wonderstone and picasso than I have been able to with those stones. Go figure Curt... the overlords have been after me because you haven't entered the pod stage yet.... now I know you are working it, I know you are safely hooked! It is just a matter of time before the pod... and your change over. I have one Ghost Wood about ready. Man, is that fine stuff!! Ok, Jo... I hear you are hooking up with Amber and Tony... I expect cabs soon!! I know you have it in you. Tony

Nice looking group Tony. I really like the shape of the picasso, I just got some more of that. I've never been able to shine up wonderstone but will keep trying, it does have some nice colors and patterns. That Hogg Mt. looks familiar, oh that's right I have some from you. lol
