It was cold outside, and I'm thinking I really need a new space heater for the shed, but I managed to squeek out two today plus a dome polished piece. I have been using C.O on the felt pad and what an improvement for getting the polish that I am wanting to achieve. I am going to order me two new leather pads for the Genie plus the diamond paste...so the Shine might even be better! ENJOY! Henry's Mountain Petrified Wood (One of the most polished cabochons I've ever done....and THRILLED with it! ;D) Morrisonite (another fine piece I got from Jason. THANKS!) Laguna Nodule. I couldn't get a decent picture of this for beans...and it would be really nice if it wasn't for the fracture on the left side. Steve

Wow Steve, you have nice wood!! I love that one. I like the laguna even with the fracture, it is bright red, I was looking for bright red stones to wear for Christmas!! You have some great shine on all of these, I want to try that CO, Tony is partly there with it. Morrisonite...that stuff is so pretty, I have never seen a piece I didn't like. Amber

Really nice cabs and what a shine. I love what Cerium Oxide can do for a shine, even in a cold shed. Bob

Yes, the SHINE is there! And what a perfect oval on the first one! That one is my favorite but the second one comes very close. I like the sharpness of its shape.
The domed nodule is also beautiful, the crack seems to be quite stable.

Great set Steve. Your improved shine is very obvious in these pics. I'm still messing around with cerium but am hoping to figure out how to use it this week. I wouldn't even try to pic a fav, I love all three.

The Laguna nodule looks good. Aren't cracks upsetting? I have a Beacon Hill nodule that is cracked the same way; I haven't bothered to finish it. The cabs look good too.

Nicely done, Steve, glad you got the right conditions to cab.... though I can't imagine why you don't like cold and snow! They all look to have nice shines, not just that great wood cab. T

Thanks Everyone! It's not the best conditions for cabbing though. I honestly need to invest in an economical heater so I can have it constantly running and keeping the old shed warm. I have some bottles filled with water out there, and some rocks and opals in them...well...I noticed tonight they were frozen and three of them were cracked and broken. I had to bring them all in. So...it is getting cold; and colder is on the way. I know some of you are really experiencing the frigid temps.BRRRR! All your compliments warm me up though. Steve
