Here are the rest of the cabs I got made this weekend. I even have a few groove wrapped! Seam Agate-from Michael John- this could be the fav of the day! Mookite This was one Tony cut the groove in the preform before I cabbed it, ugh, it was rough around the edges because I was afraid of ruining the groove or cracking it, it is super shiny though. Chrysacolla-from Jamie Crazy Lace from Steve Holmes- Funny, Tony was taking photos of my cabs and his cabs and he handed me this cab and says "lay this on the grinder, I totally messed up the shape on this, I can't believe how I missed this. " I said excuse me that is my cab, hahahaha! I think he felt bad! Chrysacolla from Michael John very pretty stuff! Shell from Jamie- wasn't sure how to work with this, so it was an experiment, very pretty though, also very smelly! I think it is like BO, you don't know how far to go until you lose the sheen and patterns.

That Mookaite and the Crazy Lace are both stunning! I also like the depth in the seam agate.

Fishenman: No the machine still has not arrived, I am getting really ticked, you know the old man making it is 90 and he has had my check cashed since 12/4, so I am getting hot, he is in No. CA, I might have to send you over to break some knee caps, LOL. These were done on Tony's machine. Amber

I think they are all great here Amber and it shows how far you have come with cabbing. No Tony, you are not an idiot. Just a man. (it is a good excuse for almost anything from what I have been told) hehe. I do love the depth of the seam agate and that mookite but seriously, they all look great! I sure hope you get your machine soon and there are no health problems to keep this guy from getting it done and shipped to you. Fran

Wow, really hard to pic a favorite but I think Im going to have to go with the seam agate. Amber, remember when working with shell that you want to keep the wheels really wet........that stuff is no good if you breathe it. Shannon PS-Tony, how long did it take you to remove your foot from your mouth? Or is it still in there? LOL

Shannon: Thanks to Lori and Biker Randy I got schooled on shell, apparently it is nasty stuff. I think I am scared to cut it again. One thing Tony's machine throws a ton of water, these are good lessons for newbies to learn! I don't want to die from shell inhalation! It sucks that something so pretty can be so dangerous! Amber

Crap, I forgot to reply on here. lol.... those look sweet! The patterns and the amazing shine on the crazylace are awesome! You can still cut the shell, just get a decent respirator (not one of those surgical masks) and have good ventillation. Lori sent me a bracelet with a cab from one of those shells, it's sweet!!

Wow sweet cabs especially the chrysocolla! I like the crazy lace too. Great job on all of them. BTW, make sure to wear a resperator when cutting shells, especially if it's abalone shell. That stuff is not good to be breathing. Steve

Steve: You know what the worst part is, I bagged up the cabs to take to work, and I dropped the bag on my tile floor and now 3 cabs are broken, ughghghghg. I am so mad! I didn't know about the shell until Randy and Lori told me, so I won't fix that one since I do not have a respirator. Thanks! Amber

Great job, Amber! Really nice bunch. I like the Mook a lot, but my favorite is the Crazy Lace. It has a great pattern and you framed it so well. So what if Tony messed up the edges for you, just be patient with him and he'll get the shape right soon That shell smell is the ocean...that wonderful turritella stink. Put a dab under each ear and watch the sharks start circling, lol. T

Sweet Cabs Amber! Sorry to hear about losing 3 of them. I hope they can be reapairable. Love that Mook and go ahead and send that Crazy Lace back. I didn't mean to send that one to you. ;D Your doing a great job on the shapes and the shine. I never knew that about Abalone...so I learned a lesson here myself. Good thing cuz I have some that needs to eventually be worked. Steve
