Here are a few cabs I cut back in December that I finally got around to photographing. I have a large batch I'm working on now. I just about have them all domed. I also started up my tumbler and flat lap this weekend. Quant Tube Agate (from the Ochoco's near Walton Lake) Amethyst Sage Freeforms BC Picture Rock - Blue calcite w/brown jasper matrix

Lovely Amethyst Sage! Those pieces show where the amethyst part of the name comes from. I've seen too much lower quality rough of that material...

Akansan: I agree with you about the amethyst sage, I love purpe and amethyst and everytime I see it I think why is it called that! HPD has some fine quality materials, and I think that is why his posts are so exciting! Prime examples of great quality rock.

Great shapes on those sage agates. I like the concave lines. That tube agate is the winner for me! Wow that's amazing. Glad to hear your tumbling and lapping again! I recently started up the tumblers again too! ;D Steve

That tube agate is my favorite. Beautiful cabs, all of them. That last one is so fascinating, looks loke a silouhette of an old boat.

BEAUTIFUL! Every last one of them! I especially like the blue calcite with jasper. Looks like the big Texas sky over the mid summer open plain landscape. Fran

Those are stunning and the pic of the Quant Tube looks as if you took the pic while the tubes were moving cause they look like they are out of focus like when something is moving and I know your camera is not out of focus. That's what I find really amazing about that cab.
