Several people have asked to see my Palm and Snakewood cabs for 2008, so here is some Palm first. Rare Green Two Palm Roots, I think Mel calls this Palm Bog Another green The rarest of them all, solid red Translucent Curt

WOW Curt, you really do have the neatest wood. I like the palm bog ones and the red is great and the green, ok all of them, but the Palm Bog, is the fav! Thanks for sharing! Amber

Nah, Curt, I'd still call those two examples fiber but from down near the root ball. The stuff I call palm bog is sort of a plant detritus in agate with occasional roots and root tendrils through it, as apposed to palm root which is almost a complete mass of those great big roots with the eyes in them. Thanks for the repost. I can't remember seeing the green palm fiber before. That's a beaut.....Mel

Beautiful cabs, Curt! Each of them is so special in its own way: perfect oval on the first one, amazing colors on the red and on the green ones, but my vote goes to that second palm root. It looks like a fire pictured with big exposure time, fantastic!

Thanks for the reruns. Those are awesome and my absolute favorite is the second Palm root. The pattern in it is amazing.
