Those leaves are going to beautify that tree! I love the koroit and your Corgi's eyes look like Pet Wood with a highly agatized center. Definitely a rock hound's hound.

Like the shape you choose for the jade, interesting. Opal always blows my mind..need to purchase some. New pup looks very alert and playful.

Glad to see the master return Love the jade. Nice smooth flowing shape. Really nice Koroit too. Wish you had shot it from closer. When are you going to cut that fish tank slab you have? I keep thinking about it when I see your name with a cab post. Corgi's are cool! Tony

Thanks all for the nice replies. Shannon- I had to put down Nikki after 13 years as my buddy. He developed nasal cancer and he died right before Christmas. It was real tough to stomach. My wife surprised me with this little guy from the pound, he will never be a Nikki but is a good dog. I still have Max, he is teaching the new one all his bad habits lol. Amber- I don't have templates and stink at trying to make a oval. I used a 15 mm socket wrench bit to measure and it looks to be a little bigger than what its supposed to be. I am sure he could trim to make fit. Nancy- His name is Mccutcheon, named after a 60 year old bottle of scotch I own lol! Tony- I still have the slab/slabs of that stone. I have two pieces cut and glued onto a piece of jade I have to make a new knife. Still waiting to work the others. As you know this lighter stuff doesn't polish as good but it has nice opal in it. Here's my favorite picture of Nikki. He went with me on all my camping and diving trips: Another photo of Nikki with the devil dog:

Awwwww, Im so sorry about Nikki. He was such a cool looking mix! The worst thing about dogs is that they dont live nearly long enough (although I have had a couple of dogs in my life that have lived longer than what I was hoping for LOL).
McCutcheon is a cutie and I love the name!

nice work...that jade looks great, I know sometimes when I work with it that it has a tendancy to undercut when I polish it becasue of either the alignment of the jade "fibers" or it has some impurities in it....is the jade you find jadeite or nephrite? All our local jade here in Wyoming is nephrite...

The cabs a beautiful and the leaf looks great! I don't think you will need to trim it down since Adrian also has some close to 20mm. Your dogs steal the show though and I know how hard it is to loose one of your good friends. I lost one of my dogs just over a year ago and I have a 13 year old that is terribly crippled with arthritis but so full of life. Time is limited but we are enjoying her while we can. It is really good to see you cabbing again! Fran
