I spent a couple of days at the Tucson Gem Show and in addition to the Kettle Corn which I so desperately craved, I also came back home with a few pounds of rocks. I also got to meet RTH member 'johnsgems' and his lovely wife. Really nice people. Here are the photos of my haul. This first picture is everything I got out there. Top L to R: small marble size agates. Don't know exactly where they come from. Bought a 50lb bag for $35.00 Sh_ _. I mean coprolite. Bought 10lbs for $30.00 Larger agates just like the first ones only about two - three inches in size. Bought a 50lb bag also for $35.00 The two bottom pics on either end are carnelians. Bought a kilo for ten bucks.Had to buy them. I thought they were really nice. The bottom center pic are Madagascar Carnelian Agates. Got 40lbs for $80.00 after haggling a little with the seller. What's cool about these is that those are sold highly polished for thirty to forty dollars a pound depending where you go. Coprolite Large agates. Small agates. Madagascar Carnelians. Polished Carnelians. Thanks for looking. Condor

Neat! Those river washed agates look almost like Chinese material from Nanjing. Maybe they're from the deposits where the rainflower pebbles come from and the dealers simply sorted out the really highly patterned examples and sold the rest in bulk. Anyway, they look like real interesting material for the price. Smaller stuff would be fantastic tumbling material....Mel
P.S. I'm a kettlecorn addict too *L* got me a new gold crown to prove it. Darn hard kernals in it sometimes!

Wow! Now that was a nice haul! I love your carnelians there. Some very nice colors and the agates are already kind of smooth so they are so much easier to tumble or cab!. Looks like you had a nice trip there! Fran
