Here are a couple I did last night. I started with the Copper stained Quartz that I got from a friend and then finished up a few more, since the wheels were spinning, and the water spitting. Copper stained Quartz, which may be know by a more technical name, but it eludes me. Sodalite which has a nice gray flash to it and is fairly large, about 2" tall. Plume agate, and I am getting ready to do a doublet...some day. Snowflake Obsidian that has a lot of small fractures, but was just too interesting to not give a chance to become something beautiful in wire. A Rhodacrosite cab that at one time was about twice as large but being as soft as it is, broke when trying to 'gently' place it into a bezel...with a rubber mallet. So instead of staring over, I was able to cut and shape a Picture Jasper to fill the bezel once designed for the Rhodacrosite that snapped. That's what I been doing. Thanks for looking! -Banjo

I like the plume and the rhodo,..... that is a bummer!!!! It is still beautiful though and at least you got to use the setting!!! Nice job on all! Amber

Ooo, those are really pretty! I love the pattern and colors in the iron stained Quartz and that Rhodocrosite is gorgeous! It is too bad it broke but the Picture Jasper looks great in that setting.

Those are really nice Banjo! That rhodochrosite cab has quality color. The plume and the sodalite are pretty too. That picture jasper did a nice job "filling in" for the rhodochrosite. Garry

Beautiful stones, especially like the Rhodacrosite; one of my favorites. From past experience and as a instructor never use any type of mallet to force a stone into an area; which I think you found out what happens. Did you but a small bevel on the bottom edge? This helps when setting the stone.
