It's been awhile since I sat at a grinder, and I had the added handicap of learning these new wheels/system. I tinkered a bit with the new Cab King, added some sponges (that don't help much), and then just built a barricade of towels to limit the puddling. First up - WWR Moss. You can't tell it in the picture, but the moss goes from red in the lower right corner to black to yellow in the upper left. Anyway, this is my first true high dome cab and my edges are a bit rough around the bottom. Next, WWR plume. I have a request for a pink wrap, so I'm cutting a few stones for her to choose from. First up, an unknown. I have no idea what this is, and would love to hear suggestions. My little piece of this was only big enough for this cab...and I'd love more. Arizona Wood And now, for the leftovers Pietersite Crazy Lace Owyhee And two OJs

Thanks guys!
Deeptime - these took me about 1 1/2 hours. Most of them had all the prep work completed, though - they were already preformed and dopped.
I did have four cabs come off the dop in a way I'm not used to - the wax just basically crumbled. I'm guessing I didn't get it hot enough when I dopped them. Either that or the overflow of water on my new machine is going to require a new dopping technique.

Well, it's about time Ronda! Nice job on these cabs. The first OJ almost looks like Guadalupe poppy jasper.
I can't believe nobody picked up on deeptime's reference to the song. So, did Father Christmas bring you a new machine?

Nope - Uncle Sam. I can see where you could get Guadalupe poppy out of the first OJ, but you definitely wouldn't if you saw the rest of the chunk. I have two other cabs from that chunk on dops now.

Well the kinks certainly didn't affect the cabs. Really nice batch. That pink unknown looks like some opal that Bejewelme did a few weeks ago, I can't remember the source of that one since she has pink opal from just about every source.

Hey Akansan! The pinkies are excellent, really lovely stuff, and the WWR's are stand out stones too - rich and super glossy - very nice indeed. I'd say you have the measure of the machine - at least by the standard of what your producing. But... You know whats coming next don't you.... OJ!!!!! Wow oh Wow! That's just sublime! You cut some of the prettiest cabs on the board Buddy - and your shape selection fills me with joy! I love the regular shapes - Freeforms are cool - but circles and ovals make me smile the most - and you have some corking examples here Buddy - you really do. Now - how do I get you to send me a large copy image - my desktop would LOVE that OJ graphic. It's stupendous!!! If it were me, I'd give up cabbing now - there's no way I can cut another stone that comes close to that one for sheer beauty (PLEASE dont stop! He he he!). Brilliant! Thanks for posting your pictures that OJ is simply superb! Cheers, Sparkles.

Harry, you make me smile every time you post! I'll see what I can do to get you a larger image of that OJ cab. Thanks everyone for your comments. I can see the flaws even if you guys can't.
