It was beautiful here today, even warm enough to dig the saw out and do some cutting. While I had sun, I thought I'd try taking some outdoor pics of my newest batch of cabs. Thanks for looking. 1-Massachusetts Rhodonite: 2-Red jasper: 3-I got this as a little piece of rough from Jack. I *think* it's turquoise, but perhaps a turquoise expert can chime in. It worked beautifully. This is a funny little cab. I wanted to make the most out of the rough, so this little guy looks a little like a Pringles chip. It's concave, rather than convex. 4-Polish flint: 5-Rainforest jasper: 6-Rainforest jasper: 7-Unknown...would love an ID: 8- Same material as before: 9-Brazilian...my husband calls this one "Jupiter":

I must have been on the same Brain Wave Tweet was one! Almost exactly what I was thinking....Love em'....especially those last unknown ones. Although that Brazilian is simply amazing! Gotta love bright sunny warm days after a Winter Spell. Steve

Looks like the blue and green ones are chrysocola and azurite. Whatever, they look great. All of them look good. Ken

Good lord...I just realized how awful my cuticles look in that last picture! Well, I guess that's what I get for spending the day with my hands wet! Thanks for all the great comments, guys!

Wow, Those are beautiful. I love the shape and color of the Jasper. I too think the blue is Azurite and Chrysocolla and the Turquois looks like what I think they call Sleeping Beauty.

Nice batch Nicole. I like your variety of shapes. Now I can't wait to get to the rhodonite you sent me.

Dang Nichole .. thats a great batch of cabs .. I LOVE the blue '' idontknowites'' and the Brazilian is outstanding ... that would make a great groove wrap ,it would be a shame to cover any of it up with a regular wrap , and the flint ... those are all my favorites ... isnt it nice to have Spring in the air ? the temps have been going up and the Maple sap is a runnin' up here ..
Thanks for sharing Wolf
