I finally got one polished. After 30 years, it's like learning all over again. The picture doesn't do the shine justice. It's a local unknown rock. I have more coming that will look better.

Good to see you using the new home built lap. How did it work for you? You got shine in your picture but maybe too much. Can't really see the pattern. Thats the problem with taking pics. Tilt a little one way and there is so much glare you can't see the rocks pattern. Tilt the other way and the pattern shows great but no shine. Keep em coming Brent.

I have an interesting dilema. First I am trying to remember how to make a cab, and, I am learning how to use a flat lap. I have 6 cabs that I was wanting to post, but they didn't turn out. I couldn't get them to grind smooth, and they wouldn't take a polish. So, I grabbed the first rock I had available to see if it was the polish, or me. Looks like it's me...lol
