I have never been more proud to post something on here!!! Gary (58vette) sent me these intarsia cabs, and I am so touched and so in awe of his artistry!!! I have tried to pick a fav and I just cannot, each is so unique, and the thought of what goes into making one of these just blows my mind!!! They are too beautiful to wear, so I think I am going to mount them in a shadow box and hang them up!!! My son who was so intrigued looking at these said, "Mom, you could NEVER do that" and he is exactly right!!!! Gary-I love these, you are too generous!!!! And these are a small sample of why I wanted you to continue your craft!!! Maybe you can chime in and ID the materials!!! Thank you! Amber Circle-Tigers Eye & ? Kite- crazy lace, ? ? Diamond-crazy lace? Rectangle-Deschutes, ? Back Circle in a Square- Gosh this is just so beautiful in person, like a painting!!! OK this is my favorite!!! I hope you all enjoy these pictures, and they do not do the pieces justice!!!!

Gary's intarsia cabs are truly unique works of art and require a lot of skill! But I think Gary's generosity excedes his skills, as it happens to many other members here.

I can see why you would want to display them on your wall. Those are gorgeous and I bet he was smiling the whole time he was creating these for you.

Hi, Thank you all for the comments. I just wish I knew what most of them are made of. I basically just took what slabs I had and matched up the colors. I so know that I did use Royal Sahara Jasper, mexican lace. The red material is what Randy (bikerrandy) sent me. Most of all the other material came from members of this forum. Again, thank you for looking at the cabs I made and such kind comments. gary

Those are all superb, Gary! And Amber is a very lucky lady! My favorite is the 3rd one, but each and every one is truly a treasure.

Oh Amber! That is such a beautiful gift! Although it is next to impossible to pick a favorite out of what Gary sent, that last one keeps me coming back to it! Way to go Gary! Fran

These pics don't do the cabs justice. Gary is truly an artist. Only problem is now Amber is going to expect me to make some of these and there is no way I have the skill or patience required to do it.

Amber, those are all very NICE! I really like intarsia cabs and have recently created a couple - very time-consuming. I was going to post photos of them, but I can't get a decent picture, so I didn't, so I know what you mean when you say the pictures don't do justice to the cabs. Gary, that's a generous gift, and you gave it to someone who truly appreciates your work. Garry

The rectangle labeled Deschutes, ? I think the frame may be Noreena jasper, or maybe Mookite?
Gorgeous, absolutely, but look at how beautiful they are wrapped, too (thanks for showing us kjohn). Amber, they would look stunning on you! Of course, they're harder for YOU to see when they're hanging around your neck, but everyone else will enjoy them! <smile>

KJ-THanks for posting the pic of your cab, the wrap is beautiful!
Amy- as tempted as I am to wear them, because I know people would be looking at them, I can't bring myself to glue a bail on or wrap them, since I don't wrap. I think I appreciate them more as works of art, so I have this idea about framing them! I wouldn't want to ruin them with perfume and make-up! I am hitting the frame shops this weekend, I will post what I come up with. I want to be be able to see them daily!!!
I am indeed very lucky and very grateful to have such beautiful items to display!!! Amber
