You have to look on the brite side, you still got it ! I shortened my thumb a smidgen back in high school and I can relate to how you feel. When I shortened my thumb , my older sister had to make the smart-A$$ remark in the doctors office about not embarassing her in public for a while by picken my nose with it !

In high school woodshop, I watched a guy make a dado cut through the palm of his hand. You're very lucky ... table saw injuries are usually much worse. I had the tip of my index finger smashed in a punch press, so although your injury is "relatively minor", I can relate to the pain of such an injury. I wish you the best in your recovery.

Ouch Bushman! That made me grab my thumb! That is sure going to be sore for awhile so just keep it clean so you don't have any lasting effects. I guess we can wait to see all the beautiful work you do, but just barely... Take care now! Fran

Dado through his palm, ouch. I feel lucky. I only lost a blade width by about 1/4 inch deep. Bled like hell. Was surprised that it really never hurt that bad. I felt it bite me, other than that unless I bump it it is basically pain free. Cabs will be done by next weekend.

OUCH! I've had similar injuries also. I cut the bottom of my thumb off in a lawnmower engine. I never knew how important my thumb was until I couldn't use it. Your injury looks pretty bad, and I'm glad to hear it doesn't hurt all that much. Good luck on your thumb recovery. Isn't that some of the new clear dop wax you put over it?

That man is going to be very very rich. The meat cutting and lumber industry will never be the same.
