Okay, I got my dopping done yesterday. I put them all in cups while they each wait their turn on the wheels. Here is a picture of the dopped stones: After many trial and error attempts at dopping, here is the method I use so the stones don't pop off and hit me in my eye. First I take my stick and get a ball of wax on it. Next, I heat the stone on a candle warmer. Right in the center of the warmer. (I think the candle warmers work better than the coffee warmers.) Then I slowly touch the wax to the hot stone till I see the tip of the wax start to quickly melt and get runny. Then I stick the rest of the wax to the stone. I form the wax around the stone using my wet fingers. Lastly, I put the stone back on the center of the candle warmer until I see the edges of the wax just starting to melt. Take it off and let 'er cool down. Here are a couple of pictures: Using the dop pot steve sent me, I gob some wax to a stick. Here is where I put the stone back on the candle warmer for it's final heating. Using this method I avoid the use of flames, and rarely have any stones pop off. I've tried other dop methods and this works the best for me.

That's quite the garden you've got! Thanks for the dopping hints, too. I don't dop often so it's always a trial for me when I need to.

That is a good idea to use the mug warmer. That would help to give it just enough extra heat to seal the bind. Nice garden too! Fran
