Beautiful cab. Is that heat-treated material or natural colors? I don't use CO but a toothbrush might do the trick. A ultrasonic cleaner would work the best though.

Really nice! Yeah, I think you'd best invest in an ultrasonic to get into pits and pores. T

Jeff, They are cleaners that use sonic vibrations to clean. Here's a website- www.cleanosonic.com/Geoff

I got a pressure cleaner from a drycleaner, I will find the link that Mossyrockhound recommended, that little thing blasts everything out! I will look for it, I think it is on Litho Valley Supply, like a pressure washer for cabs!!

This gun Amber? roederindustries.com/shopexd.asp?id=5I have one and they are very powerful. In fact you can puncture the skin with the stream of water and blow off loose crystals and druze. I use it to clean allot of stuff, I love it. Geoff

I like the way you showed your work from slab, to pre-form, to finished cab. It's great for us newbies that dream of cabbing one day.
If you don't have an ultrasonic cleaner, visit your dentist. I'm sure they will clean it for you along with some dentures and partial plates. LOL
Your local jeweler should also offer you this service. Probably for free if you are a customer there.

Very nice material and a fine cab. I use an ultrasonic, but still have to use the toothbrush for the stubborn pits. The high pressure gun sounds like a pretty good option for getting stuff out of pits. I haven't tried one of those yet.

Geoff that is the same gun, I LOVE that thing!!!! I am cleaning everything with it. I swear I hit my finger with it, and it hurt for 2 days, that thing is powerful! Now I lay a towel in the sink and then blast them, I gave up trying to hold and blast, the thing is sort of heavy to hold in one hand. That was the best $60 I spent, I cleaned my tile saw, it cleans everything!

Jeff, For the spot-cleaning gun, you just use water and add a drop or two of dishwashing detergent for lubrication every time you fill up the plastic container. Very simple and effective. Just be sure to wear a heavy rubber glove on the hand that you are using to hold the piece being cleaned, because it puts out about 1650 psi pressure. BTW, that latest cab is a dandy! Garry
