I was going to work on these more, but I decided to post them anyway. The blue one is sodalite(from rockhobbit) but it has some nasty inclusions. The other one I think is a form of serpantine(I dropped it and broke the tip ). I will rework them and see if I can get some of the inclusions out.

Brent: I dropped a baggie with my cabs in on my tile floor and broke 4 cabs at one time! I feel your pain, they look great, the mitering is perfect!

Thanx. I might use that as my signature style. I really like doing them.

They are 1 1/2" X 1 1/4", and I cut most of my slabs 5/16" thick. They were totaly done on the flat lap, and by hand(no dopping).

Consider getting a rubber or vinyl mat for under your work area. Both your feet and your cabs will truly appreciate it. Shame about the drop.
I use to drop many things on the concrete basement floor. I guess I'm ready for a "rubber room".

Very nice! I have such a hard time doming my cabs that they all end up "mitered" un-intentionally! kj

It's a shame when you put all that effort into it. At least it can be reshaped and not a total loss of stone. These shapes are really great and look forward to seeing more.

You sure do a good job on these. It's a shame about the drop. I dropped a beautiful bruneau jasper cab on my kitchen tile and it broke in 4 pieces. I almost cried.
Let us see the reshaped piece when it's done.

Cool cabs! Look up sandsman's website and take a look at his Cabojohn's.
